vs Traditional Dashboards

Dashboards Don't Tell You What To Do.

Looker, Power BI, Tableau, and custom GA4 builds are all good at showing data. None tells you what changed, why it matters, or what to do about it this week. Askalytics is built for that step.

The Dashboard Problem

The Dashboard Way

Pay a consultant or BI team to build dashboards. Wait weeks. Open the dashboard on Monday and stare at twelve charts. Try to figure out what's different from last week. Build a pivot table. Email someone for context. Decide whether to act. Repeat next Monday.

The Askalytics Way

Connect GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, and Microsoft Clarity (plus HubSpot and Mailchimp in beta) in a few minutes. Every week, receive one written insight by email: the most important thing that changed in your data, why it matters, and a recommended action. No interpretation labor; the work is done.

The Takeaway in Three Bullets

Insights, Not Charts

Traditional dashboards display data and leave interpretation to you. Askalytics' AI Insights pipeline reasons over your nightly-refreshed warehouse, runs the queries it needs to surface what changed, and writes a narrative around it, every week, automatically, with every number traced back to the query that produced it.

Setup in Minutes, Not Months

A custom BI dashboard build typically takes weeks of consultant or in-house time. Askalytics connects to your existing GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, and Microsoft Clarity accounts (plus HubSpot and Mailchimp in beta) in a few minutes, with no SQL, no data engineer, and no separate ETL pipeline.

Trust the Numbers

Dashboards drift over time, with broken joins, stale data, and retired metrics, and the new wave of "AI on top of BI" answers questions without checking them. Askalytics traces every number to the query that produced it, ships an audit-grade evidence pack per insight, and runs a Confidence Check so a second AI reviews every insight before you act.

Dashboards, Plus Answers You Can Check

The dashboards are still there. The difference is what comes with them.

The Askalytics Overview dashboard for the Bloom & Measure demo store, showing sessions, users, pageviews, average duration and bounce rate with trend lines, a Tracking Health bar with 10 checks passed, and the date the data runs through.

How We're Different

Four reasons teams move from dashboards to Askalytics.

1. Insights, not charts.

Traditional BI dashboards are a presentation layer. The data is shown; the interpretation is yours. That works when you have a dedicated analyst whose job is to interpret. For founders, marketing leads, and most small teams, "I have to figure out what this chart means and what to do about it" is the bottleneck. Askalytics flips that around. The AI reasons over your nightly-refreshed warehouse, runs the queries that do the pattern-spotting, and turns the results into prose. The output is a written, action-oriented insight, not a chart. Your job is to act on the insight, not to interpret the data.

2. Setup in minutes, not months.

Most teams' custom BI builds follow a pattern: hire a consultant or assign a data engineer, define requirements (weeks), build the data pipeline (weeks), build the dashboards (weeks), iterate after the first review (weeks), end up with something that needs an analyst to maintain. Askalytics connects to GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, and Microsoft Clarity (plus HubSpot and Mailchimp in beta) in a few minutes, only ever reads your data, syncs your historical data automatically, and produces useful insights from day one. If you outgrow it you can move on, but most teams find they don't need the bespoke build at all.

3. Checked in code, then by a second AI.

The new wave of "AI on top of your BI" tools (Looker's Gemini integration, Power BI Copilot, Tableau Pulse) bolts a generative AI on top of an existing dashboard. They work, and sometimes spectacularly. They also occasionally describe numbers that don't quite match the underlying data, because the AI is interpolating between dashboard fields without a structural guarantee that every claim is grounded, and nothing checks whether the answer is correct. Askalytics' architecture is different. The AI reasons over your nightly-refreshed warehouse and runs the queries it needs, so every number it reports is generated by a query against your own data and traces back to that exact query. A code check traces every number in the prose to a real query result and flags any it cannot match. Then a Confidence Check has a second, different AI model independently review every insight before you see it. Of the tools in this space, that verification step is the one thing none of the dashboard-plus-AI products offer.

4. Delivered, not pulled.

A dashboard is a pull medium, useful when you remember to open it. Askalytics is a push medium. The weekly AI Insights email lands in your inbox every week. Insights surface in Slack when a meaningful pattern emerges. AI Sentinel flags it after its nightly scan when something looks off. The platform finds you. You don't have to remember to log in. For busy operators, this is the difference between "I have an analytics tool" and "I have analytics that work."

Common Questions

Can Askalytics replace my BI dashboards?

For most marketing-and-revenue analytics across GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, and Microsoft Clarity, plus HubSpot and Mailchimp in beta, yes. For broader BI work that spans your finance system, product database, and other custom data sources, a BI tool is still the right layer, and Askalytics complements it well. Many of our customers keep their BI tools for finance and operations, and use Askalytics for the marketing analytics layer specifically.

Will I have to migrate any data?

No. We connect to your existing GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, and Microsoft Clarity accounts (plus HubSpot and Mailchimp in beta) and only ever read from them. Historical data syncs into our warehouse on first connect, then refreshes nightly. Your existing dashboards and BI tools stay untouched.

Do I need a data engineer to set this up?

No. Setup is sign-in-with-Google, pick your property, and grant read access. Most users are done in a few minutes. No SQL, no pipelines, no schema decisions.

What about custom dashboards?

Askalytics ships with 11 pre-built dashboards covering the major GA4, Search Console, and Google Ads use cases. Custom widget and layout authoring is on the roadmap. If your team's analytics workflow centers on bespoke dashboards rather than insights, a traditional BI tool may still be the better pick today.

My BI tool already has an AI assistant. What does Askalytics add?

The AI assistants bolted onto Looker, Power BI, and Tableau generate answers, but nothing checks whether those answers are right. Askalytics adds two things on top of generating an answer: an AI that reasons over your nightly-refreshed warehouse and runs the queries it needs, so every number it reports traces back to the exact query that produced it, and a Confidence Check that has a second, different AI model review every insight before you see it. When you're making decisions off the answer, that verification step is the difference. See how we build trust.

How does the cost compare to a BI build?

A custom BI dashboard build, whether by an in-house data engineer or external consultant, typically lands between $10k and $50k for the initial build, plus ongoing maintenance and platform license fees ($10 to $70 per user per month for Looker / Tableau / Power BI, scaling with seats). Askalytics is a flat monthly subscription from $19 to $149 a month, with no separate build cost and no per-user metering at the lower tiers. See full pricing.

Does Askalytics support Slack and Teams?

Slack and Microsoft Teams are live at launch. AI Sentinel, weekly digests, and key AI Insights are pushed to the channel of your choice. The weekly AI Insight email is included on every plan.
