Ask a question about your website in plain English. Get an answer built from your own numbers, checked against your data before you see it. As of October 1, it is open to everyone.
On October 1, Askalytics opened its doors. If you run a website and you have ever stared at Google Analytics wondering what it was trying to tell you, this is for you.
The name came from a bad afternoon. I was in front of Google Analytics with a question that should have taken thirty seconds. Traffic was down and I wanted to know why. Two hours later I had four reports open, a spreadsheet, a headache and no answer. What I wanted was to say out loud, "why did organic traffic drop last week," and have something sensible come back.
Ask. Analytics. Askalytics. It is not a subtle name. That is the whole product, and today anyone can use it.
You connect Google Analytics 4, Search Console and Google Ads. Each one can use a different Google login if that is how your company is set up. Every night we copy your data into a private store. Then you ask questions the way you would ask a colleague who knows your numbers.
"Which pages lost the most conversions last month?"
"Did the free shipping change help?"
"Where does my paid traffic go after it lands?"
You get an answer in sentences, with the figures behind it, the exact date range it covers and the sources it read. No report building. No wondering whether you picked the right date range. No need to learn what a session-scoped dimension is before you are allowed to know how last week went.
Each question gets its own answer. Ask AI does not carry on a conversation or remember what you asked before, and that is on purpose: answers stay direct, no long thread can drift off course, and every number in them can be checked against your data. If a follow-up needs context, include it in the question.
Getting an AI to write a confident paragraph about your traffic is not hard. Plenty of tools do it, and a worrying share of what they write is wrong. Most AI analytics tools hand you the answer and stop there. They do not show you how it was checked. Askalytics does.
Here is what that means for you.
It is the least flattering feature we built. It is also the one I would keep if I had to throw away all the others. An answer you cannot check is not an answer. It is a suggestion in a nice suit.
Every AI Insight ships with its second opinion attached, and every figure links to the query that produced it.
Most people who need answers from their website data are not analysts. They are founders, marketers, shop owners and the one person on the team who got handed the Google Analytics login. Askalytics is built for them.
It also means the people who need answers do not need logins to Google Analytics, Search Console or Google Ads, and nobody has to learn those tools first. Invite your team to Askalytics (5 paid seats per website on Explore, 15 on Growth and 50 on Scale, plus unlimited free view-only Viewers) and they can ask for themselves, without anyone adding them to each tool.
Tell it your role and how experienced you are, and answers are written for you. Ask from Slack or Microsoft Teams and the answer posts back into the conversation. The dashboards are there when you want them. So is a demo website, Bloom & Measure, loaded on every free trial account so you can try questions before you connect anything.
These are the kinds of answers you might otherwise wait days for, or pay an agency retainer to get. Now you can ask them yourself, as often as you like, and check the working.
Most analytics problems are not questions anyone thought to ask. They are things that quietly went wrong three weeks ago.
AI Sentinel runs every night. It has built-in checks for the breaks that cost real money: conversions dropping to zero, ad spend carrying on while paid conversions stop, traffic falling off a cliff. Then an AI looks for other meaningful changes across your traffic, search and ads, and only reports moves above your threshold (30% by default, and you can change it for each website). That AI check runs every night on the free trial, Growth and Scale, and once a week, early on Monday, on Explore. Each finding tells you what changed, the before and after numbers, how serious it looks for a site your size, the likely causes and what to do next. It costs no credits.
Your Weekly AI Insight lands in your inbox once a week, on the day and time you choose. By default it arrives on Tuesday morning, in your own time zone. Each website gets its own, carrying one AI Insight written in full, with the same checks behind it. Every plan includes it.
AI Audit reviews your site and gives you prioritized fixes. The first one for each website runs on its own and is free. AI Lift takes one page, reads it alongside your real purchase and visitor-behavior numbers, and writes a plan to improve it. Data Health tells you whether the measurement itself can be trusted, including what your "conversions" number is actually made of.
Google Analytics 4 is the one connection you need; everything else is optional. Available today: Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity, Slack and Microsoft Teams. In beta: HubSpot and Mailchimp. Coming soon: Shopify and LinkedIn Ads.
Start with the free trial. No card needed. The 14 days start when you connect your first website, and the trial comes with 25 Ask credits and 1 Analysis credit so you can see real answers on real data.
Then pick a monthly plan. All prices are in US dollars.
One Ask AI question costs 1 Ask credit, whatever the difficulty. Some simple lookups are free: one Google Analytics number for last week, last month or last quarter, like "sessions last month", once that period has settled. On every plan, Claude writes the answers and insights, and ChatGPT, from a different provider, is the second AI that checks them. Full details are on the pricing page.
Does it pay for itself? Two early users let us write up what a single AI Insight found for them: a US checkout gap at Cornishware and a desktop click-through leak at Poker.org. Cornishware's team says the early numbers already cover what they pay for the year. For Poker.org, the clicks the insight points to are projected to be worth far more than a year of the subscription.
This is a launch, not a finished thing. Your data is refreshed every night, not in real time, and Search Console runs about three days behind because that is when Google releases it. There are features on the roadmap I am impatient about, and there will be rough edges in the first weeks that I have not found yet.
What I can promise is the part that matters most. If Askalytics tells you a number, you will be able to see where it came from. If our checks are not happy with an answer, you will be told that too, instead of being handed a confident guess.
It started because I wanted to ask a simple question and get a straight answer. It turns out the hard part was not the asking. It was earning the right to be believed.
Go and ask it something.
No. The free trial runs for 14 days from the day you connect your first website and includes 25 Ask credits and 1 Analysis credit. When it ends, the AI features pause until you choose a plan. Nothing is charged unless you pick one.
Every number in an Ask AI answer or an AI Insight is checked against your own data before you see it, and the answer shows what was checked. AI Insights, and Ask AI answers that use a credit, also get a second opinion from a second AI on a different provider.
Your sources are copied every night. Google Analytics data is usually a day or more behind, and Search Console about three days, because that is when Google makes it final. Askalytics is not a real-time tool.
Google Analytics 4 is required; everything else is optional. Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity, Slack and Microsoft Teams are available today. HubSpot and Mailchimp are in beta. Shopify and LinkedIn Ads are coming soon.
